This Yixing zisha teapot is a collectible artwork co-created by two national-level Chinese craftsmen, making its exclusive debut online through special authorization. Blending traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, it serves both practical daily use and high artistic value.
The teapot was crafted by Xu Yisong, born in 1974 into a pottery family in Yixing, Jiangsu - renowned as China's "Ceramic Capital". Since 1991, he has dedicated over two decades to mastering traditional zisha techniques while incorporating innovative concepts. His signature balance of heritage and creativity has earned industry acclaim and international collector recognition.
Surface carvings were executed by You Xiaoqin (art name Lingyun), a certified national craft artist. Using specialized tools on moist clay blanks, her intricate patterns withstand high-temperature firing without compromising functionality. This collaboration achieves both exquisite form and decorative excellence.
Named "Bogu" after Chinese antiquarian traditions, its design references ancient bronze vessels with square-rounded contours balancing stability and fluidity. The precisely proportioned spout and handle ensure smooth pouring and comfortable grip.
Crafted from Yixing Huanglong Mountain's raw ore blue-gray duan clay, this material develops natural luster through use. The 270ml capacity accommodates group tea sessions or personal use, with optimized proportions for leaf expansion and leak-proof sealing.
Traditional hand-forming techniques involve wooden paddle shaping and component assembly under controlled humidity, followed by 1180°C firing for durability and optimal coloration.
