Yang Junbao’s Minglu Zisha Teapot: Exquisite 20cc Golden Duan Clay Masterpiece
$342.86Artisan Yang Junbao’s 20cc golden Duan clay teapot combines Minglu design with wood-fired texture and masterful engravings for exceptional tea brewing.
This Yixing zisha teapot originates from China's renowned ceramics hometown, Yixing. As a representative of traditional Chinese craftsmanship with centuries of history, the zisha teapot serves not only as tea-brewing utensil but also as artistic collectible. The featured purple clay teapot embodies the dedication of two artists, showcasing the unique charm of Yixing pottery.
Named "Minglu", this handmade Yixing teapot was created by national craft artist Yang Junbao. With over three decades of experience, Master Yang skillfully blends traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. Crafted from premium golden duan clay sourced from Yixing's Huanglong Mountain through special wood-fired processing, the 20cc miniature teapot develops warm golden hues, ideal for brewing aromatic teas like Tieguanyin.
The teapot's elegant silhouette combines fluid lines with a stable wide-base design. Despite its compact size, it conveys subtle strength when held. The 45-degree angled spout ensures perfect parabolic water flow without splashing. The airtight lid features a bead-shaped knob, while the ergonomic flying handle provides secure grip.
Master carver Wang Pinrong adorned the surface with intricate patterns. Using precise blade control on moist clay, his carvings range from traditional landscapes to poetic calligraphy. These decorations enhance both aesthetics and texture, facilitating better tea aroma dispersion.
The complex creation process involves mineral selection, clay refining, and manual slab construction. After air-drying, dual wood-firings at precisely controlled 1150°C create natural ash-glazed effects. Each Yixing zisha teapot develops unique color variations through this process.
The dual-porosity structure improves tea preservation over time. Golden duan clay's insulation keeps tea cool in summer and warm in winter. The 20cc capacity suits solo tea sessions, while simple maintenance requires only rinsing and air-drying.
Featuring Yang's seal and Wang's carvings, this Chinese zisha teapot transcends functionality as collectible art. For tea enthusiasts, it offers practical use and cultural exploration. Through regular use, the surface develops a lustrous patina, embodying the harmonious growth between user and object.
The "Minglu" teapot exemplifies Chinese craftsmanship wisdom. From material selection to firing techniques, each step demands expertise. Brewing tea with such teapot becomes meditative ritual - watching liquid arc from its spout, one senses both artisan's devotion and time's graceful accumulation.
