Exquisite Xishi Teapot: Handcrafted Yixing Masterpiece by Wang Min, Li Wei & Gao Jianzhong
$557.14Premium 360cc Xishi teapot in 1994 Dragon Blood Clay, featuring master engravings by Li Wei and Gao Jianzhong. Elegant design with 9-hole filter and peony motifs.
This Yixing purple clay teapot, jointly crafted by three top artists, is named "Xi Shi." More than a tea utensil, it represents traditional Chinese craftsmanship. Inspired by Xi Shi, one of ancient China's Four Great Beauties, its smooth curves and full-bodied form exude elegance from every angle.
Three masters contributed their expertise. Master Wang Min, senior craft artist and member of Jiangsu Provincial Arts and Crafts Association, modernized classic proportions through balanced body contours. The precisely angled spout and handle ensure comfortable pouring.
Decoration involved two specialists. Master Li Wei, Jiangsu Ceramic Art Master, carved three-dimensional peony blossoms with lifelike petals on the reverse. Master Gao Jianzhong, senior rural revitalization technician, inscribed poetic lines in vigorous semi-cursive script: "Only peonies embody true national beauty, their bloom stirring the capital." This integration of calligraphy and painting demonstrates China's artistic principle of shared origin.
Using rare 1994 No.3 Slope Dragon Blood Zisha clay aged 28 years, the 360-milliliter teapot develops a lustrous maroon finish after firing. Its precise lid fit prevents leakage, while nine rhomboid filter holes ensure smooth pouring. The specially curved spout creates perfect water arcs without dripping.
As tea companion, this purple clay teapot excels through material advantages. The quality clay preserves tea aromas, developing patina over time. Moderate wall thickness retains heat without scalding, while the generous belly allows full leaf expansion. Ideal for pu'erh, oolong or black tea.
Collectors value its artistic synthesis - three masters combining sculpting, calligraphy and painting. Peony motifs symbolize prosperity, complementing poetry praising China's national flower. Natural patina formation will enhance its charm through years.
Maintenance proves simple: rinse after use, avoid detergents, occasionally polish with tea broth. Protect from thermal shocks and modern appliances. Proper care ensures decades of service as spiritual props for tea rituals.
This handmade Yixing teapot bridges cultures, functioning equally well as décor and conversation piece. Showcasing zisha artistry through collaborative innovation, it preserves tradition while meeting contemporary aesthetics - truly collectible mastery.
