Master Fan Jianxin’s Rose ‘Dabin Ruyi’ Yixing Teapot – 240cc Celestial Clay Artisan Craft
$257.14Fan Jianxin's handcrafted 240cc Yixing teapot uses celestial clay, showcasing rose designs. A valued collectible by a renowned artisan.
This Yixing purple clay teapot named "Da Bin Ru Yi" Rose embodies perfect integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics. Crafted from rare sky-blue clay aged for years in private storage, its 240ml capacity makes it ideal for daily tea brewing. The rounded silhouette features exquisite rose carvings with naturally flowing petal lines, preserving classical charm while adding unique artistic beauty.
The raw material comes from Huanglong Mountain in Yixing, representing rare zisha clay variety. This sky-blue clay develops refined texture through prolonged natural aging. During firing, temperature variations create gradient grayish-blue tones resembling post-rain skies - hence its poetic name. Teaware made from this clay better preserves tea's original fragrance.
Created by National Craft Artist Fan Jianxin with over thirty years' experience, this handmade zisha teapot combines traditional techniques with contemporary design. Every curve of spout and handle underwent meticulous calculation for drip-free pouring and perfect lid alignment. From shaping to carving, the entire process required manual precision.
Traditional purple clay teapot-making techniques were strictly followed. Artisans beat clay with wooden mallets into uniform slabs, cut circular bases with wheel tools, and hand-shaped the body using "da shen tong" technique. Separately crafted spout and handle were attached with special clay mortar. The most challenging rose carving required bamboo tools to etch three-dimensional patterns on unfired clay without compromising structural integrity.
This Chinese Yixing teapot holds significant collectible value. Each completely handmade piece develops unique patina over time. The rarity of sky-blue clay and Fan's masterful craftsmanship ensure quality, with artist's seal and authentication certificate included. Ideal as heirloom or prestigious gift.
Daily use offers exceptional tea experience. The zisha clay's porous structure enhances tea flavor, while excellent breathability allows retained aroma even with plain water. The ergonomic size facilitates single-handed operation. Observing steam rise through rose carvings during brewing connects users with centuries of Chinese artisans' wisdom.
Proper maintenance ensures longevity. Initial sterilization with tea broth, avoidance of detergents, and dedicated use for specific tea types are recommended. Regular wiping with soft cloth and dry storage preserve luster. With careful upkeep, this purple clay teapot becomes lifelong companion for tea rituals.
