Yang Jian’s ‘Hanwa’ Yixing Teapot: Timeless Artistry in Red Clay
$171.43Artisan Yang Jian's 180cc Yixing red clay teapot combines classical Hanwa styling, carved motifs, and balanced calligraphy in a durable, collectible tea vessel.
The new Zisha teapot "Han Wa" is officially launched! Crafted by renowned artisan Yang Jian using original Da Hong Pao clay from Yixing, this 180ml handmade Yixing teapot perfectly balances traditional charm with modern minimalist aesthetics, ideal for daily tea brewing.
This Chinese purple clay teapot features a striking cylindrical body. Straight vertical lines extending from base to rim create a stable, dignified silhouette. The short straight spout ensures concentrated water flow for quick pouring, while the circular handle ergonomically fits palm contours for comfortable prolonged use.
The Yixing zisha teapot showcases an innovative flat-top lid with subtle curves contrasting its angular body. The knob replicates ancient roof tiles, adorned with intricate openwork haitang floral patterns that enhance aroma diffusion. When steaming, vapor elegantly rises through these carvings, creating a multisensory tea experience.
Unique calligraphic engravings adorn the purple clay teapot surface. Bold brushstrokes contrast with polished blank areas that reveal golden mineral sparkles under light, resembling starlight. Special polishing techniques enhance the natural luster of this Chinese Yixing teapot.
This handmade zisha teapot masterfully combines functionality and artistry. The spherical body allows full tea leaf expansion, while the widened opening facilitates cleaning. A thickened spout base filters tea residue, and precision-ground lid seating ensures leak-proof pouring with smooth operation.
The Da Hong Pao clay originates from Huanglong Mountain mining area in Yixing. This iron-rich purple material develops unique metallic textures when fired at 1160°C. With prolonged use, tea oils gradually nourish the Yixing teapot surface, deepening its translucent glow.
Artisan Yang Jian incorporated nine hidden filter holes in the spout interior for optimal debris control without compromising flow. The reinforced base ensures stability, while strengthened handle joints guarantee durability. This purple clay teapot set particularly enhances fermented teas like Pu'er and dark teas.
For maintenance, rinse with warm water before initial use. Soak in weak tea for 24 hours to activate clay pores. Avoid chemical detergents - simply flush after each use. As a spiritual props, this Yixing zisha teapot develops personalized patina through regular use, recording every tea moment in its evolving surface. The "Han Wa" teapot inherits traditional craftsmanship while incorporating modern ergonomic designs, becoming both functional tool and artistic centerpiece for tea ceremonies.
